Urbexing Abandoned Bus Graveyard In Kyiv

On the outskirts of Kiev stands a unique building: Bus Depot № 7. With an area of more than 20,000 square meters, it is in a dangerous state of disrepair and now serves as a huge tomb for hundreds of old buses. We once made our way through the labyrinth of overgrown bus skeletons to take these photos, published here for the first time.

Where is this bus graveyard located?

On the outskirts of Kiev, in the DVRZ neighbourhood, at 15 Borispolskaya Street.

If you look at this area on a satellite map, you will see a huge circle — that is the main distinctive feature of this depot.

Because of the building’s unusual design, locals nicknamed it the “circus”. The diameter of the “circus” is more than 160 m, and the parking lot could accommodate about 300 buses.

We sneaked inside and walked between the abandoned buses to the main column of the “circus”. It was difficult to find the right way at night, because the buses stand very close together.

Tunnel systems and an abandoned bunker are also worth a visit!

We found a way up and climbed the stairs to the column’s balcony.

It was an epic landscape — hundreds of abandoned buses.

It was a gloomy spectacle, but majestic in its own way.

There were better times. Hundreds of buses were sent out to the most important cities of the USSR.

Now this place is sinking into darkness, taking a piece of our history with it.
