All ex-USSR metro systems were not only for transportation. Kiev subway system is not exeption, it is a huge nuclear bunker with a lot of special additional objects which must help people to survive after nuclear war. USSR falt down and Cold War went to past that’s why a lot of objects were not finished. Another.Kiev team explored one of amazing unfinished abandoned bunkers connected to Kiev metro system. 
This Bunker situated parallel to the working subway tunnel and even workers who work in the tunnels every night don’t know about this place. It have been under construction from 1987-1989 and after that government stopped to support this system by money and this object has stand abandoned for 29 years at the moment. Huge labirynth of tunnels has size of a city block and we spent 3 hours jst to too explore all tunnels. In one place we found chalk draft of bunker map painted by one of workers on the wall. There is three major infrastructure blocks, biggest one has 12 meters high and must contain 4 train diesel engines. In the center of this shot you can see elevator frame, shaft on the top covered by concrete blocks and haven’t exit to the surface. One of additional blocks made from iron tubings. There is no wind inside so stalactites can grow down up to 3 meters long like in the natural cave. Forks inside communication bunker. There is side tunnel. There is major tunnel, which has 12 meters high and in the end you can see connection to the side-tunnel. Parts on bunker separated by blast resistant doors. They are rusty and looks really creepy. On the bottom of this tunnel we found air filters FP-300 which used in soviet nuclear bunkers.
